On September 11th I wrote about the fact that the Phils were 3.5 games out of first place and the chances of the Mets having another collapse was highly unlikely. The Phils finished the season winning 12 of their last 15 games and the Mets, well, they came through too. Another collapse and they were officially eliminated yesterday, on the last game of the season, by the Florida Marlins. The same Marlins that had the distinct pleasure of knocking them out last year. But enough about the Mets…
